Netflix unveils trailer for Japanese film adaptation of ’10DANCE’

Netflix is set to air live-action film adaptation of popular romance manga 10DANCE.

The passionate BL which explores the intense world of competitive dance stars Ryoma Takeuchi (Roppongi Class, Black Pean) and Keita Machida (Yu Yu Hakusho, Glass Heart) as two rival dancers whose clash on the dance floor spills over into an unexpected yet intense romance.

Directed by Keishi Otomo, known for his work on the live-action Rurouni Kenshin movies, the film is adaptation of manga 10DANCE which gained popularity as a pioneer in competitive dance comics.

Celebrated for its unique storytelling, the manga which won the “This BL is Amazing!” Award in 2019 will be brought to life on our screens on December 18, 2025.

The film will see Ryoma Takeuchi and Keita Machida reunite in their first project together in nearly eight years. Takeuchi makes his Netflix debut portraying Shinya Suzuki, the Japanese champion of Latin Dance while Machida plays Shinya Sugiki, the Japanese champion and second-ranked dancer in the world in the Standard Ballroom category.

Telling the story of the unlikely dancing duo who aim to win the 10-Dance Competition while clashing yet developing feelings for each other along the way, the film is exploration of the depths of love where passion and pride collide.
