London folk/Americana singer-songwriter Merrick Winter announces sophomore EP The California Zephyr, with a gripping orchestral version of the title track. Rooted in a sense of longing for comfort and familiarity, the track is built on soaring live instrumentals courtesy of Nashville’s orchestra collective Lockeland Strings and stirring songwriting.
Painting vivid sonic portraits of love, loss and the human condition, the EP is produced by Matt Zara (Teddy Swims, Lola Young, Niall Horan), Patrick James Fiztroy and Adam Lee, as Winter treks through everything from grief and spiritual connection to meditation and travel.
